I worked in the design industry for over 10 years creating brochures, booklets, press advertising, exhibitions, packaging design and corporate stationery.

These projects were often to tight deadlines with even tighter budgets. I often designed for black plate changes or just one side in full colour.

Budgeted Prospectuses for Mid-Cornwall College and Saltash College

Both of these prospectuses were designed on a very tight budget. I designed the prospectuses to be folded and cut from coated paper, with full colour on one side, and two colours on the other.

When folded into a booklet odd pages were in full colour. This made for particular placement of text and graphics to get the best out of the specification.

Boringdon Hall Brochure (Souvenir Booklet)

One of my projects was a sumptuous hotel brochure for Boringdon Hall. With this particular project using textured card, gold special workings and embossing, there was no expense spared.

The design was minimalist with embellishment of medieval woodblock and carvings emulating the vast amount of 14th Century craftsmanship in the buildings architecture.

This leaflet was printed in full colour on both sides, with an wallet and specifications sheets to match. The design incorporated a loose marker pen effect in the background.
