Round the clock training for BP Amaco

Computer based training was the solution for BP Amaco when it came to training its employees 24-7.

Training modules based on servers gave 24hr access for trainees standardising the knowledge for new recruits and veterans alike.

I courseware designed and project managed over 6 modules for BP. Of these, I designed Gearboxes, Pumps, PLC, Pressure and Bearings. Over 1000 interactive training screens.

I managed the graphic designers and the programmers as they passed the modules down the production line. Often sitting alongside the programmers to ensure the correct synchronization of voice-over and animation.

As well as client liaison, I designed all the
navigational structures, wrote the voice-over and organised the recording and testing.

Training Management System

The project was enhanced by database driven trainee management, calculating the results of the pre and post tests and issuing grades.

SNVQs

The modules provided the underpinning knowledge for SNVQs (Scottish National Vocational Qualifications).
